Coach Mark Etier is an experienced coach who has worked with many young ball players. Mark has coached many select teams to national and state championships including a team that won the Cooperstown World Series. Coach Mark was the first student at Westlake High School to play Division One Baseball. At Westlake, Coach Mark lettered 9 different times in four sports. After Westlake, Coach Mark went on to McLennan Community College. After playing and starting two years at McLennan he earned a scholarship to play at Texas Christian University.
While playing for the TCU Horned Frogs he led the team in batting and was the number three or four hitter in the line-up. He played many positions for TCU in his two years there. Primarily playing outfield he also played third base and spent time as the catcher. Coach Mark has always enjoyed sharing the gift of baseball and passing his knowledge down to others.
